| Black Watch - a famous Scottish regiment formed
in 1739 to watch the rebellious Scottish Highlands. In 1749 became the
42nd Regiment. Distinguished record in war and peace. As a reward
for outstanding bravery, soldiers of the Black Watch wear a red hackle in caps
instead of a badge. |
